Joyce Family Heritage Marble

Vintage Connemara Marble gold harp brooch 1904

€370

The size of this harp is 30mm x 20mm

Stunning example of Connemara marble set in yellow gold. Inlaid with perfectly matched dark green marble. We believe this piece to be Edwardian and made around 1904. It is marked on the back WHL for William Henry Leather of Birmingham. The hand engraving is still sharp and really adds to the piece. The Harp is the national emblem of Ireland, in fact Ireland is unique in having a musical instrument used as a symbol to represent a country. The harp obviously represents music, it also represents the ancient bards of Ireland. The bards were storytellers, poets and lawmakers in ancient Ireland so this would make a fantastic gift for anyone interested in music or the arts.

The clasp on this is vintage and is a simple pin and C hook (please see image). This piece is quite rare, not many were made in gold, a very unique piece over 100 years old.

We can guarantee that these are made from genuine Connemara Marble
